Project title: Analysis and proposals for the reconstruction of the Lithuanian legal framework regulating the requirements for the installation and operation of energy facilities.
Country: Lithuania.
Client: Ministry of Energy of Republic of Lithuania.
Year: 2020.
Alliance partner involved: Smart Continent, Lithuania.
Description: The aim of the project is to assess whether the current state regulatory system in the field of setting technical requirements for energy equipment and devices is appropriate in Lithuania. During the project, the experience of foreign countries is analyzed. The focus is on those countries where the setting of technical standards, rules and enforcement are given away to business-associated municipal authorities. The project recommendations are expected to partially liberalize the area of technical regulation and the state will delegate more powers and responsibilities to the business itself. The evaluation is carried out by Smart Continent.
